Good Day to you all. I recently accepted a job as a PC Technical Support Specialist in an Australian manufacturing company in Dubai. The starting salary is DH3000 (P45800), accomodation is also provided plus a food allowance of DH200. I only need to go to work 5 days a week which means I will have two day-offs. Since I don't have immense experience working in abroad I decided to grab it. Now my question is, did I get good deal or not? Do you think I will able to save enough with that salary? Is DH200 enough for the food allowance or do I have to shoulder a little bit more? Can I also do part time job since I still have one day to spare without arising any conflict with my current employer? I'm already feeling bad not being able to attend the interview conducted by Al Hammad Hospital (Qatar) coz theyre giving $1450 (P81th) in all successful candidates. I hope some of you living or have lived in the UAE could give me some insight or ideas. Thanks in advance..
Hi there! That was only last year..Directly hired din ako so dito na ako inoferan sa Pinas.. Well, di nga lang ako nagtagal sa company kasi di maganda ang working environment. Im going back again this August sa Dubai but on a visit visa coz have no employer yet although may mga interview opprtunities na ako..
Goodluck na lang sayo...
You are lucky my friend! For a first timer like you eh malaki na yun although nung ako eh DH7000 ang offer and ofcourse tinanggap ko. Kasi kung sa Dubai ka inoferan eh medyo mababa pa yun if you went there on a visit first. Anyway, just gain experience na lang then later on makipag bargain ka na lang uli..
I got the offer here in Pinas. I have more than 9 years of exp in my field giving tech support to more than 200 network users. I guess thats why they want me in their company. I should have ask for more - greedy me!Contrary to the other posts ive read, this company wants Filipinos to be their dominant workforce, slowly eliminating other nationality. I dont know what got into the Aussie Boss's head. Looking on the bright side, it kinda helps I guess because it tips the scale in favor of us Pinoys.
DH7000 you say, quite an amount. When was this? Care to share some of the details
