Hi Good Day!

I would like to ask if I still have the future to work abroad even if i have a weakly reactive Hepatitis C?
I really want to work abroad and I wanna know what countries does not included Hepatitis C in their medical exam as a requirement for working permit. I hope you could share me some of your ideas... Thank You!

i think yes or no, it depends on your immune system and Hepatitis C is almost the same as Hepatitis B...

most laboratories for employment abroad only do Hepatitis B screening test, so if u are positive for Hepa-C, it wont be detected. but if the company requires all Hepatitis test its called Hepatitis profile that includes Hepa A, Hepa B and HEpa C, then u will be rejected for sure.

since when did u know u r positive to Hepa C? usually in blood donation, as part of screening test, Hepatitis C / HCV test is included...

r u sure u are Hepa C + and not Hepa B?

mikermtrn81: thank you so much for the reply. Yes, the result was weakly reactive in hepa c... but in hepa b is non reactive.

How about singapore? Do they require the hepatitis c test? Thanks..

carelei: Thank You also:) Do you have any idea if how much is the PCR assay test?

Hi Anne,

Same case with my friend..but he'd managed to work in dubai as company nurse. But when he came back to Philippines, he was rejected to work in one of the hospitals here (jci accredited) when they found out his medical exam about hepa c,,,

Good luck!!
